Default pciii and exhaust ruins the warranty?

having a power commander and a full exhaust system ruins the warranty? I bought a new r6 with 4 year warranty.. can I also sell the warranty?

only thing I was thinking with this is that you'll want to run the stock setup for a while at the least. wouldnt do very well to bring a bike in for problems with 5k on the odometer and not a smudge in the exhaust.

the law says that unless they can definitely prove that the modification caused the problem, the warranty is valid. look up magnuson moss act on wikipedia.

I recently (last week) talked to customer service at Yamaha of America and was told specifically by two different individuals, one of which was a supervisor, that bolt on modifications don’t necessarily void warranty BUT any modifications will be taken into consideration when diagnosing a problem and if it is found that the mod did create or significantly play a part in the failure then you would not be covered under warranty. If the problem did not result from a mod then you're fine in other words.

They will know even if you taken off everything. You have flashed you pc with a diferent map and even if you go back to the original mapping the pc still registers a different map. You would need to flash the pc once again and load the original map. I know in cars (most) subaru it voids a certain part of the warranty.

If he was to take the PCIII off they would have no way of knowing that one was on there. And the ECU doesn't store anything from a PCIII. The PCIII overrides what the ECU tells the motor to do. So BY taking the PCIII off ,the stock ECU would in essence be in control like nothing ever happened.
