Default Random scratches

I noticed random scratches on my swing arm , bike has never been down, why are there scratches? anyone else ever noticed this? what can i do? i am a perfectionist!

my camera is broken, there just random scratches tiny ones but u can tell

most scratches will come from heels rubbing on them...such as mine...

also, if the rear wheel has ever come off, the rear brake caliper just hangs and could scratch the right side...such as mine as well.

you can prevent them by working on your own bike...

for real...those shop monkeys don't give a damn about your bike...just another bike to work on. (No offense to shop monkeys on this board)

are you serious?

here is what I came up with...

- buy a new swing arm
- get it painted somehow
- take a sharpie to it
- place a sticker over it
- f*ck it

take your pick...I used to be anal, but not so much more. It makes life MUCH easier.

Get to the track and you'll get over it quick I'm no slouch about my bike's looks, but stuff like that, I don't get bothered by it too much.

This is my first bike as well, but true, I'd be a little concerned if it were brand spankin new with scratches...but on the swingarm, it should be well hidden anyways.
