Default Dont know if i cut the chain to short, I mean it fits!

Did a Driven 15/50, 520 conversion with an EK black chain.

I cut two links off. I measured and re-checked before i cut, dont know what happened.

Everything fits fine except the adjusters i had to screw in very very far, there is maybe 5 threads showing on the adjusters.

Is this OK?

I can adjust the chain slack no problem in either direction. Its just that the rear tire had to come in so much further than it was before that im nervous it will screw up the handling or something.

Am i screwed?

as long as you have the proper chain slack, you are fine. As far as the geometry of the bike being messed up, don't worry about it. The difference wont even be noticeable. just sit back, look proudly at your work, and have a beer.

also, as the new chain is used, you will periodically have to move the adjusters. if you have any question about this, send me a PM and i will gladly help.

I was wrong i have 3 threads showing lol

Im also worried that i wont be able to move the tire far enough forward to remove it when it comes time to change tires. Will this be a problem?

How much do chains stretch? Ive never had one stretch all that much.

You are good. The axel is out when you remove the wheel, so U can push the wheel all the way till it hits body work if you need to get it off.

The chain will stretch. Ive had a one stretch as much as 3/4 inch over a race season. You are good to go as long as you have the right chain slack according to manual... Enjoy !

Yes yes i know how to remove the wheel. The problem (dosent sound like it is a problem) is the wheel is so far forward that i might have about 2 inches AT MOST between the tire and the front of the swing arm. So once i take out the axle, set the tire on the ground i will AT MOST be able to push it 2 inches forward. As long as thats enough to get the chain off the sprocket then im good. Im gonna play with it tonight finaly.

You will have no real issues with it. the way it is is fine. If you were going to have a hard time getting it off there then you would of had a hard time putting it on in the first place
