Stupidly simple grip question

Ok, tons of ppl have posts on here about changing grips and whatnot. I just wanna ask 1 question.

For an 03 r6, are both grips the same inside diameter or slightly different? Anyone know the correct sizes? I've looked on tons of sites selling them, some say one's 1" and the other's 7/8", some say just 7/8". I bought a set and it looks like they're slightly different. I just want to know before I cut my old ones off that these new ones'll fit.

I can imagine driving around with no grips would suck so I wanna avoid that.

yes they are different sizes the throttle grip will be larger i.d. than the clutch side. you can tell which one is bigger just by looking at it.
