Default Witch mid pipe is better?

Hi guys (and girls ofcourse),

I have been searching for all threads concerning mid pipes but i can't find anything about the difference in performance between the T tuner and Dustin mid pipe.

The Dustin pipe looks way better and the weld + material look great.

Does anyone have a dyno sheet from their mid pipe (with or w/o a PC3)?

Hope to hear your opinion about the 2 pipes. Should i spend the extra 100 bucks on the Dustin?!?

cheers,
Peter

Pete,

Sorry I don't have the answer to your questions, but they are good ones. I'd like to know the answer to them as well, so try and keep me posted if someone has those results broken down.

Thanks,
Oscar

If you search the net you find lots of people who have a mid pipe. No opinions or dyno sheets?

Every time is do a mod to my 350Z or Cooper S, i do a before and after dyno with A/F.

I know this doesn't help with your decision, but I have the MJS race header and I feel you would be much happier with it. It is better because you don't have to cut up your stock system...the headers are just a straight swap then you can send Mike your stock stuff and make a little money back.

I have a before and after dyno but the after is with a PCIII, slip on, and the headers VS stock. I was pulling 102HP stock and with those three items I jumped up to 111HP and I am running wicked rich at 8k and above.

Thanks RedDvl,

I have bought a stock header for 85 euro so i can cut that one up. The MJS complete set is 450 dollar (witch would be OK) but i have to pay 110 dollar for shipping to Europe and 110 dollar for the OEM header + slipon is not much as i would have to pay approx 60 dollar for shipping to the US.

And i really don't like putting the alter OEM slipon back on.

I really love the sound of the PFW header + GP slipon: http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=RplhtL...ks.com/slipon/

This would be 450 incl. shipping to Holland and a PCIII map.

decisions, decisions....

Yeah that mid pipe and gp slipon sounds ok...sounds just like my buddies bike with his MJS header and Jardine slipon. You can just order a header from Mike, bolt it up with a slipon of your choice, then send him one of your stock headers and stock slipon...he gave me $113.00 for my header. Yeah I feel you on not wanting the modified stock slipon....some like it but I didn't so I went with the Termi. I just didn't want a hassle of having to cut up a header then clamp a mid pipe on VS unbolting the old and bolting up the new...plus the mid pipe is welded on and leak free.

Although, it is your bike though and your money...just keep that in mind. It is what you want/like. I have people tell me that they hate the look of my Termi but I don't care because I love it and would not trade it for any other slipon. I'm just trying to help you make a good decision that you would be happy with.

I know what you mean. I buddy of mine has a welding shop. Perhaps i'll ask him to weld me a midpipe. Doesn't have be for free and if he coats it afterwards it will look and function like the MJS header. Might put on the OEM slipon with the EXUP disconnected for the time being.

just do your research and get the best deal for the price as long as it gives you some positive numbers on a dyno (both, the butt dyno and a true dyno)
