it's rim tape since I just wanted to try it out, but I'll probably end up painting it...

ya im going to have my rims powder coated here soon when i do my bodywork and thats what im going to do since i dont want to have to worry about that tape

I have an 08 R6s and was thinking of painting the rims an anodized blue color. i was wondering if anyone has any pics of a bike with similar rim color or knows of anyone that has done the same thing

looks good. why not powdercoat the entire rim lip, leaving the spokes black. that would look really good. and powdercoat is cheap. should be less than 100 bucks.

What all has to be done get the rims ready for powdercoating/painting? Obviously they need to be removed from the bike and tires need to be removed. Do wheel bearings have to be replaced?

I think it looks o/k. U already have some red accents on the fluid resevoirs, i would have gone red to match those as well as your rear spring and pipe.
