Default Low end mods

I just bought my 08 R6 and was wondering if any one knows the best mods for increasing low end power.

sprocket change. it'll move your power band down but may lose on the top end a little.

sprockets are probably the cheapest thing you can do that would benefit the most out of. I'd keep your stock exhaust since it has that exup valve on it.

An ignition advancer will add a little too.

if this is a first 600 for you (and im not sure it is) you are gonna need to learn to keep the revs up to get the most outa the bike. The r6 is not designed for low rpm use... period. If you wanna bike you can have in low rpm range and have it hit right off the bottom when you roll on the throttle you need a 1000. That being said, just get used to operating the bike in the higher rpm range, you wont hurt the thing at all.
Also, a sprocket change will not move the "power band" .. the motor makes the most torque and power within a specific rpm range no matter what sprocket you have on the bike. Going -1 on the front will allow the bike to accelerate faster but you do loose mph in each gear and you will find yourself shifting more.

Theres another thread on here about doin a quick tune by cutting(or simply tapping into it) wire 27 or 29 from your wiring harness and ground it to the battery negative. with the bike in the off position hold down the two buttons on the tach and turn the bike on. 8 seconds later you will get a screen that says DIAG... press the right button and the screen will now read CO. hold down both buttons and you will see C1 do it again and you get C2 than C3 and finally C4. this adjusts your settings for the exhaust thats being pushed into the intake. when you get to the C1 C2 C3 C4 screens press both buttons again and it will give you a negative or posative number. my 4 were 0 -9 -3 6. i went plus three all the way across and that made it 3 -6 0 9. i felt quite a bit of difference in the mid range. it had power increase mainly between 5 and 12k. 2nd gear wheelies came alot easier. hope it helps.

Does that little trick work for the 2008 r6 model? You spoke of seeing this on another thread. Have you done this to your bike or someone else's?

Carbon fiber wheels and general weight reduction have greatly improved my 06 low end to midrange acceleration. Afra evo and bazzaz fuel mapping has it running smooth.
