What is the best way to keep your hard work and shine on your polished aluminum from getting oxodized or from dulling up after driving it a while?

I just finished polishing my rear sets and other bits and pieces. Ive polished a bunch of stuff in the past also and the best thing Ive found to keep it from oxidizing is Naval Jelly. It works great and doesnt dull the shine at all.

Polishing a motorcycle rearsets and frames are very self-explanatory. But to somehow help you, my advice is go to a hardware and buy a bike polisher.

Hi all

I'm new here so please don't shoot me down in flames !!

I can see you are all harcore polishing people, so if I say the words "polishing kit" will I get thrown out of here ?

I bought a polishing kit from Hein Gericke, its awesome. I spent the winter going through my newly bought bike cleaning up some nasty lookin nuts, bolts, rearsets etc.... on most of them I've got a mirror like shine.... I'm dead pleased with it, it cost me £16 and and you just connect the 2 disks to a power drill and off you go.... I've got bolts that have been on this 03 R6 from new and were seriously corroded lookin, they've all come up really nice.... an easy solution to polishing I'd say, It worked on my horrible brown exhaust pipes too, not sure how it would work on frames tho ? The only down side of this method I can see so far is that it can be hard to get into tight corners with the kit.....
