Default 01 R6 Idle Speed Keeps Changing? Help

Got a quick question.

Whenever I start my bike up after it has been sitting for a while I need to adjust the idle knob to make it idle higher or it won't stay running, that or leave the choke on. But when the bike finally warms up the idle goes really high and I need to the adjust the idle knob back down or the bike sits at a high RPM with no one touching the throttle. This happens at stop lights too. Say I come to a stop at a stop light, my bike will obviously go down in RPMs but after sitting at the light for about 5 seconds the idle will go way up and sometimes I hvae to adjust the idle at the stop light.... what is the issue? Should I just run a bunch of sea-foam through it or is it something that really should be fixed?? Thanks for any info

i would definately be cleaning the carbs........choose whatever method you want. Also be sure to check for any vacuum leaks at the same time.

sounds like a vacuum leak...but...a good carb cleaning isnt a bad idea.
order some BG 44k off ebay (or from me) or seafoam (works but not as strong)and run about 25 to 33.33 % of the can put a cap of some type on the can and keep it for later use. if the vehicles running i would try this first to clean the carbs.

if that doesnt work, pull the tank and look for vacuum leaks (check under air box as well) and while your in there check the plugs for fouling or build up
