bike wont start

Ok,I was gonna go for a ride. Bike wont start. 1st time this ever happened. Check the batt. Check the fuses. All is good. When I push the start button,only thing happen is my engine light shows. Anyone knows what my problem may be? Thanks in advance.

do you hear the fuel pump engage? is the bike in gear with the kick stand down? also check the kill switch
