HID problem

I have a HID bulb and ballast installed in the low beams on my 05 r6 that a friend of mine gave me so I'm not sure of the brand. It works however, 80% of the time when I start the bike, the HID turns on briefly then cuts out. I then have to turn the bike off then restart it in order for it to stay on. So in most cases, I need to start the bike twice to turn on the HID. Any suggestions of why or is it the kit itself? I tired it with both bulbs an ballasts from the same kit.

the hids require a lot more power than the regular bulbs so it might be shorting out

I got this same problem installed my hid yesterday just on the low beam R6 06 plate.

Any help i would be gratful, may be something simple
