06 R6 Electrical issue..

I am experiencing what SEEMS to be an issue with a battery not holding charge or something. I was on the US101 to US60 East interchange and going 75 on the turn.. the Check Engine Light (CEL) came on and the RPM just kept dropping even if I was on the throttle. Then the light would go off and I would give it throttle.. the light would pop back on. I put the clutch in, and it stalled out with the CEL still on. CEL went off 2 seconds later. I turned it back on.. throttle. CEL turns on. Did this about 6 times. Finally stopped and I cruised at 65 to my exit on the US60. When I was going up hill near an exit it did it again, CEL and wouldn't accelerate but 2 seconds later stopped and I could accelerate again.

Got off the freeway.. got to first intersection and it CEL'd me, then died. Tried twice to restart it and it wouldn't. Pulled over. Turned it off then on and hit the ignition.. tries to start then all power went out even on the LCD and speedo etc. Turned it off.. same thing. So I ran with the bike.. jumped on, got it started that way. Got it home. Put the damn thing in the garage and shut her off. Turned her on again and she started up... twice.. with no issue.

Doesn't make any sense to me.

Sun Valley Cycles says they checked my electrical during my 4k service with no issues in the system. Said they didn't get any codes from the CEL. I'm dumbfounded. Trying to figure out if a 2004 R6 battery works for a 2006 so that I can swipe the battery in girlfriends's bike and test it out on my bike before dropping 90 bucks on a new battery and finding out it's something else.
