Default How-To: Replace Auxiliary Light on 06

Tools Needed:
-Phillips Screwdriver
-10mm Socket and Ratchet

Step 1: Remove Both Mirrors using 10mm socket and ratchet

Step 2: Remove the four (4) windscreen bolts using a phillips screwdriver

Step 3: Remove windscreen

Step 4: Remove grommet on top of auxiliary light

Step 5: Remove phillips screw from auxiliary light

Step 6: Remove front portion of auxiliary light to expose and access bulb.

*Note: You can use a 194 bulb from any autoparts store to replace the stock auxiliary light

Nice write-up guess you did this to change the color of the light. I also have the Raven did you go with the Red? I will most likly hit this up when I paint the windscreen..

Yeah, I put a red bulb in....figured I'd do the writeup after talking with someone else and hearing that they pulled the entire front end apart to get to the bulb.

that was me lmao. but the reason also that i took the front off the first time, was i had to change the headlights and other stuff inside, on my friends bike that someone crashed into a parked car and then saw how the aux came out, i knew that you could get it off from the top but that leaves the black back part, i wanted it all off. I switched to a hyper white LED for mine and had sae color it black except for the forks.

nice write up ive been wondering. i thought you had to take the windscreen off...never really searched it

I took it out of my brothers for him... he, nor I for that matter liked it there. It just didnt look good to me (some might say 600RR like). if both headlights were low beams it wouldnt be so bad.
