Here is a How-To I put together on making Angel Eyes for my 2004 R6.
You do not have to follow these instructions exactly how I installed my Angel Eyes.
I would prefer you just us this instruction as a guide to create your own way to
install the Angel Eyes. Anything you change I would like to hear what you did
differently. Its always good to have other ideas or suggestions.

I will have to warn you. The installation I did has not been fully tested. I have
not ridden my bike since I installed the Angel Eyes. So I do not know how well
they are going to hold under riding conditions. But I can say I feel confident in
the installation I did, and it will hold up against almost any style of riding.

rSix04,

Read all Sections and Parts of the How-To on the Angel Eyes. If you look at Section 3, it tells you how to mount the Angel Eyes to the lights. In Section 2 Part 4, it tells you how to take apart the lighting assembly. And if you look in the How-To section on this board you can find a video on how to take out your head light assembly. A really good video.

So what exactly are you asking for?

Why say that? I am very happy to see this how-to posted. Actually I saw it before anyone and gave it a :thumbup . This is DIY, thats not my business.

Oh and once again, very nice write up.

Aluminium tape; it looks like duct tape. Its sturdy but flexible enough to manipulate. And it looks like aluminum. If you can't find that type of tape, you can use a real thin piece of sheet metal and zip ties to hold the LED's in place. I will post a pic of the tape either today or tomorrow.

i think i have everything down except tying the eyes to the metal rings. i am not sure how you hold the angel eyes to the rings...do you just tie it up to the metal rings and then tighten the metal rings or am i getting this wrong? is there any illustration by any chance...? section three is what i am referring to. and yeah...this is an awesome write up.
oh and T-Man_R6...did you do that high beam low beam conversion too?

No DISASSEMBLE!!

I want the red eyes and then a loud speaker that comes on when I turn the eyes on and plays the music from the movie when Johnny-5 gets mad and starts blasting things. (or was the when the other robots started blasting things..ah its been too long since I have seen the movie)

clique,

Yes. Sorry no pics. I will see if I can get a good pic with the lens cover on. I really don't want to take it all back apart. But if I have too I will.

I will see if I can explain how to do that part a little better.

Loosen the screws on the metal rings; 2.use 3 different pieces of wire for each ring, slide the wire under the ring; 3. make sure the three different pieces of wire (folded in half for better strength) are by the screws (putting the wire by the screws will help conceal the wire) and are even on each end; 4. tighten the screws to the metal rings, not too tight or you will cut the wire; 5. now place the Angel Eyes over the metal rings and tighten (twist) the wire around the Angel Eyes; 6. any extra length of wire, cut (but don't cut too close) and lay/bend the small amount of excess toward the back of the Angel Eyes/metal rings.

that should do it! I will try and get some up-close pics tomorrow. Right now its 10:00 pm here in Germany.

When you complete your Angel Eyes I/We would like to see pics! What color LED's did you use?

Good Luck!!
Thomas

I didn't really think about "Short Circuit" Johnny-5! Your right, thats good! :rollin :wink :thumbup
