So going back to the picture wire, you are crimping down on the wire by tightening the ring onto it, and then twisting the wire in front of the acrylic ring... leaving the twisted end showing?

Guess I would hope you may throw up a picture of it as to better visualize it

Yeah, I marked the ring when fitted to the light, then put the wire on the mark twisting it until tight on the ring. This will leave three wires out the back of the ring. I just looped the wire and put it behind the loosened scews, leaving the ring about 1/4 to 1/2 inch away from the light.

So the halo's are actually suspended 1/4 to 1/2 inch away from the light by the picture wire... or do the sit against the trim ring/projector?

Maybe these pics will help some. I got, about as good as its going to be with out taking everything back apart, pictures of what the Angel Eyes looks like on my bike. If you look closely you will see the wire. I will make a pic showing where the wires are located so eveyone can see them better. I hope this helps in seeing how I mounted the Angel Eyes.

You can see the wire alittle better here with the Angel Eyes on.

I must have misread your how-to or something, but I thought it said the wire has the twisted end in front of the halo. Looking at this last picture, it doesn't really look like the wire is twisted in front of the halo at all... rather the trim ring just pulls the wire down tight when you tighten it down.

Can you get to the trim ring screws with the halo's in the way, or do you end up having to cut the wire and release the halo?

-Order them off the internet....do a google search.
-Try a store that sells blinds and window treatments.
-Try a Menards or Loews (similar to Home Depot).
-Try an Ace True Value.

i found an acrylic rod in Lowe's but it was kinda star shaped...but thought i'd give it a try just to test things out but it cools so fast out of the oven i don't have enough time to bend it. and i keep breaking the damn thing.

Boost,

When you twist the wire, try starting your twist toward the back of the of the trim ring. Once you get the wire tight enough; cut part of the excess but leave a small tail about 1/4" so the wire will have a few good twist to help hold the Halo. You cut too close to the Halo you my cut your wire completely off the Halo. Then fold the tail toward the back of the Halo/lighting assembly. Just make sure its laying as flat as possible.

If I need to get to the trim ring I will have to cut the wire on my Halos. Thats not that big of deal to me. I have a lot of wire left and the wire is not that expensive. But I wanted to mount the Halos over the trim rings and not around the trim ring.

I hope this clarifies some things.

Here is a pic to help point out the location of the wires.

I understand where you are going with the wire pretty much now, only a few questions left..

Do you actually have an air gap in between the trim ring and the halo, or is it held tight to the trim ring?
