Damn, can't believe this thread is so popular! I just have a playlist with all good songs and put that on, there is no good way to switch songs while on the road. I think they might sell a remote for iPod but it's probably big $.

For the volume dude, do you have your MP3 player ALL the way up? $9 WalMart speakers should too loud to put on your ears at full blast, you may have other problems.

I didn't go to walmart but I went everywhere else. Can you give the specific number for your headphones because mine are definetly not loud enough. My ear buds are but they are a pain to try and hide the wires.
Can't get to the ears when the helmet is on.

Update:
I was able to find a pair of headphones at Radio Shack that has a volume control and they work awesome. I went on a two hundred mile ride yesterday and the never let me down.
Thanks alot for the tip -this really worked great for me.

This will be my next purchase. Adjust volume and switch songs from a remote velcro'd to the triples, keep the iPod in my jacket pocket.

I bought a set of IMC helmet speakers that velcro right into my helmet and comes with enough wire to keep my I pod in my jacket pocket & it will plug into all regular headphone plugs. I can here the music to about 100mph. I think the speakers were only $35

I just bought some "Coby" headphones at circuit city for $10 that have volume control. I ripped the speakers out of the casing, and placed in my cheekpads.

Seems like it should work okay, but I hadnt tried it yet. Hopefully it will be loud enough, or I'll try the gain program mentioned above.

I did this one today.. coudln't find any with volume controls at the local wal mart or target.. i got some $15 philips.. I have an rx7, and they would slide pretty bad when i put my helmet on.. maybe my helmet is a bit smaller.. hurts like a beyotch to get on and off.. but feels like my bose triports once their in.. i can deal with putting it on and off, b/c my last sony ones hurt way bad while my helmet was on..

i got some heavy duty velco that i put inside the ear parts, and on the back of the headphones, and now they don't move..

i also can connect the back of my ipod that goes on my belt, to one of the cables so i can adjust the volume and song.. however once i get home i'm just puttin a piece of velcro on my handle bars to connect my ipod to

one more thing, i downloaded that program, and it's kinda confusing, one of my roommates said you can turn up the volume from itunes, but he didnt' remember how to do it..

i did a test ride when i put the headphones in and it worked pretty damn good, however louder would always be nice!
