Default first oil change

its about time i have to do oil change on my 08 r6.. wondering if i should take it to the Dealship or do it myself.. is dealship gonna do anything besides changing oil on the bike? like tightening nuts % bolts or look over things...
or is it just a simple oil change .. then i can do it myself no problem at home...
and is it a good time to swicth over the synthetic oil or wait 1 more oil change

Do it yourself, and check over major bolts/nuts like your axle nuts and stuff. Thats all they are really going to do...check over the major things that might come loose from when they prepped it.

Go with synthetic. I think the they puts synthetic in it from the get go if I am not mistaken...

I took mine in for the first two oil changes for so it was on record for my warranty on the bike.

DO NOT USE SYNTHETIC FOR YOUR FIRST OIL CHANGE!!!!!

It fucks up the break in. I used the cheapest standard car oil for the first 3 oil changes. Then started using Synthetic after 2k miles.

If you use Full Synthetic too early in your break in period you will actually lose about 10% of total power due to piston seals not setting right. They need to seal properly and by using Full Synthetic, you lose the ability for the seals to make a proper fit due to its excellent lubrication properties.

I bought Shell car oil at 1.87 a pop then switched to Mobil 1 Full Synth.
