oil drain bolt washer issue

hi guys let me first introduce myself im chris, gotta 2007 r6 graphite gray all stock so far.

so i decided to change my oil today. ( first service was done at dealer) now i have 3200 miles on it. i notice i didnt have any type of washer on the drain bolt is this normal?? thanks for the help

Dude, post a pic. Some people miss the washer. It might actually be there. It is called a crush washer and it sits tightly on the nut when you take the nut off. You do not have to replace it every time you change the oil. It is a copper color washer.

Just FYI, its not always copper colored. I just picked one up from dealer and it was silver in color (part# 214-11198-01). Not that it matters much but just an FYI

I change mine every time, it's a cheap part...makes me feel better, probably not needed everytime.
