Exclamation Sportbike How-to DVD - Yamaha YZF-R6 ON SALE for Spring

It’s that time of year again when the snow has melted and the sun is out. It’s that time to dust off your r6 and get in gear for the riding season. But before you can tear through the twistys you need to do some bike maintenance to ensure that great, smooth ride.

Maintenance usually entails sending your bike to a mechanic to change the oil, clean the air filter, check the tire pressure, lube your chain, clean out the stale gas and giving the R6 a good rub down.

That can run you a good lump some.

Why waste hundreds of dollars when Sportbike How-to will walk you through all bike maintenance step by step; teaching you how to maintain your bike, never having to waste money at the dealership with things you can easily do yourself!

The DVD is on sale for $39.95 USD for US and Canadian Members, I have a large stock for spring and will be shipping daily.

Vist the links below for more information, samples, and a list of over 100 how-tos that are included on the DVD.

The DVD covers the 2nd generation YZF-R6 Years 2003-2005, and the R6-S Years 2006-2007.

US: http://www.sportbikehowto.com/us/yamaha_03R6.php

CA: http://www.sportbikehowto.com/ca/yamaha_03R6.php

The 1st generation R6 (Years 1999-2002) is very similar to the 2nd generation. The engine is exactly the same, except the 1st gen just have carbs and 2 nd gen as throttle bodies, but all the covers come off the same way. You change the oil exactly the same, you change the air filter the same way, changing the spark plugs is the same. The only difference is that you may need to use a different tool such as a screw driver instead of an Allen key. We've had several customers who own a 1 st gen R6 buy the current DVD and said they benefited greatly from it.

i've heard good things about this dvd. you mentioned second generation is that what my 2006 YZF-R6 is? pretty much this dvd going to show me how to maintain pretty much everything i need to maintain with some minor differences? i live 3 hours from the nearest shop that i trust and even then the service has been touch and go and expensive. my R6 'anni' is my first bike and none of the riders in my familly are much of a mechanic they just take there bikes in for service, except my brother but he lives 2 days ride away now.

i got a 2000 R6 and found this bloody useful. cracking dvd. Who does the voice over????

the 06 r6r is 3rd gen, the 06 r6s (looks like 03 r6) should really still be 2nd gen.

Buy it ppl, its SCHWEET.

edit - yes i reckon you would be able to do most things from the dvd on the 06 r6.

The DVD will help teach you the basics, but I do not recommend this DVD for the 06-07 R6, it's an entirely new beast, and a lot has changed.

The DVD is made to show you bolt by bolt instruction, but you should be able to learn from it and apply the info to any other motorcycle, especially another yamaha.

Also we intend on shooting a DVD for the 3rd gen R6 but I know longer have an ETA.
