Cops never wave back

I always wave to the other riders out there and 9/10 times I get a wave or acknowledgement back. But I never get one from the cops. I passed 3 this morning and none of them waved back... are they not allowed to?

There arent alot of bike cops around here, but I also wave the one guys in cars (can only help the sportbike rep) and they have ALWAYS waved back

I've noticed the same thing. I wave to the cops all the time and don't get a wave back. I also don't know if they're not allowed to. That's a good question.

In my country I get a wave from them most of the time

here in my town in ohio i wave to all cops, whether they are on a bike or in a car. and they all wave back.

i know most of the cops here, i talk to them if they are ever stopped at a light or gas station and they know i like to have fun but they also know that im not crazy on the streets and dont do anything that will risk other people's safety. so if i pass them on the country roads they just wave as i fly by.

they are all pretty cool guys.
