Default The Legality of Swingarms license plate bracket

Two questions

1. How legal are licence plate brackets on swingarm. I know it not legal in every state but I ride in New Jersey and New York, so if anyone got any info in the local it would much appriciated.

2. I just bought one but I am considering returning it or exchanging it for different type. Its not on the bike and still in the package, but when I looked the instuction to place it on I got little concerned. I got a 04 R6. the rear axle in inserted from the left side and tightendown on the right. The instuction says when placing on the license plate bracket I should insert the axle in backward meaning insert from the right and tighten down on the left. Now I know this shouldn't make much difference but I kinda like things to stay close to stock at least when it comes to chassis. I think it because I wanted that pretty shit that I purchased the wrong kind. Opinions please

And since its not a HOG.. it kinda looks cheesy anyway... Go with a nice fender elim under the tail.. looks clean, slick, and appropriate for a sportbike...

I got a hotbodies undertail. I just didn't feel like drilling holes for the license plate bracket. It does make a differnce now anyway. I decided not to go with the swingarm bracket, but I got fucked by the online store I bought it from. 20% restock fee and the remainder of your money is store credit not a return. Do me a favor and spread the word to never purchase anything from 58cycle.com. The sales girl was cool but the manager a dick, all about the money and not customer service. Anybody that knows anything about business know to satify the customer and the customer returns bringing more customers. More business means more money. This guy just an idiot but I'm the one out over $100 bucks. I got no choice but to play the sucker.
