Question Trading in a bike?

How does one go about this? Can you take any bike to any dealership and give it in as a trade towards another bike like you can a car? Also how do they determine the value of the trade? I know bikes hold more resale value than a car but do dealerships look at it that way, or is that just personal sale? Much graci`!

It is the same as a car really. you go in, they offer you an amount and you either take it or leave it.

They look it over and evaluate it and give you a price based on the condition they feel the bike is in. My dealership does an evaluation and compares it to NADA and then gives the customer a trade in value.

So do they low ball you like they do with cars? Like in my case for example. 2006. Under 3,000k miles, a few mods, cosmetically perfect. Not a grain of sand or dirt anywhere.

prepare to be royally fucked if you plan on trading a bike in. Do you like being fucked? Sell your bike privately and then buy something else.

It's 100% fixed man. Everything factory. No used. No ebay. Guarentee you one of the mintiest CBR's you'd ever see. Unless I told you, you'd NEVER know she's been dropped. And I stopped dropping it after the lower and shaved seat.

I was just wondering how trade in worked and if it was really low. I want my 08 Yami damnit.

Hmmm my 6th, or maybe even my 7th sense is telling me you don't like him much? Hah.

Don't trade your bike in 11sec, you are going to take a bath on the trade-in value. It's not really a sellers market since it's winter time so if I was you, I would wait until spring and try to sell it yourself and then go pick up a new bike if you wanted to do that.
