Default chatterbox mounting - dont want to drill holes in helmet

ok guys so heres the thing... i have a chatterbox that i want to use now that i have a bike again but i dont want to drill some holes in my new helmet.

do any of you guys know of a different way to mount the receiver other than drilling a couple holes? or is this how everybody has to mount them?

Post up a pic of what you have. I have a Chatterbox and have moved it from helmet to helmet. I don't know anyone who had to drill holes.

It should have a mounting bracket that has two sides. One side goes up inside the helmet behind the liner and the other stays on the outside. The two parts are screwed together at the bottom and the chatterbox slides on to the bracket.

I broke a bracket and was able to purchase a replacement for a few $$.

Lets see what you got..

well i do have the mounting bracket with 2 sides like you mentioned, but i guess i was under the impression that you had to have a couple holes drilled in the liner that way the bracket can't slide off, no? otherwise, how does the bracket just stay without slipping if all you do is slide it onto the liner? i guess i just misunderstood the mounting process?

i'd take a picture if i had it here, but it's at home.

no, NEVER modify the structure of your helmet. the chatter box simply clips onto the side of it and stays in place. just crank it down on the screws as hard as possible, and it will never come off unless you take it off.

if your wondering , the popsicle stick they give you is used to tuck the wires into the helmet or into the provided clips

Don't over tighten the mounting bracket or it will snap. When the outside starts to bend back off a little. It will still be plenty tight to hold.

cool thanks fellas. i had never really started the mounting process because i saw the screw holes and immediately assumed they had to go through the lining to hold on.

maybe it would've helped if i actually started mounting? thanks dudes
