Default Ride / Listen to Music?

Just wondering how you feel about riding while listening to music?

a lot of people do it on long rides on highways. just be careful of what you are listening to. I know certain music pumps me up and makes me want to speed.

i listen every time i go out riding. i have a chatterbox that i plug my ipod into and just slip it into my jacket pocket. adds a lot to the ride, just make sure you don't have it too loud because you need to be aware of your surroundings.

I wear ear plugs. I think I'll never listen music while riding. Too annoying, I want to be focus on the road and cages that listen music.

I have some Shure E3C sound isolating headphones that i use to listen top music while riding. They allow me to set the volume at a reasonable level so I can hear the music and still hear everything around me. They also work as earplugs.

If paying $150 for a set of headphones doesn't really float your boat, Sony makes something similar for a lot less, but I can't remember the name right off the top of my head. I have the Shures because they were the first ones that I found.

I do occasionally but only on long rides on straight highways, aka boring rides. Even then I will only put one ear bud in so I can still hear everything going on around me.

Earbuds hurt after a while in a helmet (at least mine do).

^That's the other reason I don't ride listening to music that often. My ipod earbuds start to hurt pretty bad after awhile.
