Default Germany??

Anyone out there? Looking to ship my bike out there to ride around next month. Was thinking about just selling it there and buying another when I get back to the states. I was curious how the riding conditions are and how the R6 market is. Thank you.

I'm from Switzerland....so from a neighbour country.
where will u be in Germany exactly?

I go sometimes to the "Schwarzwald" thats an area in the "state" "Badenwürtenberg" - a lot of twisties and a very good chance that u don't get a ticket (don't know if u know the German speed limits and ticket fees...)

no idea about the r6 market in Germany... but I wouldn't buy ur 6 (at least not for the price I would pay for a used European one) cause the European ones have the better specs (mainly concerning electrical parts...)

I am trying to catch the motorcycle show in Munich. I Wanna check out the 05 R6. Trying to see if I wanna catch the end or the beginning now. Going to fly into Milan then maybe visit Venice. Back-track to Milan then hop into and through Switzerland. Go through Germany for Oktoberfest. Then head out to Paris and finally back to Milan. (trying to work it all out now). Trying to get there the last week of September.

I thought the American bikes would be more desireable?

Ok, from what I understand and have been told.
The CDI box is different and you have passing flashers. Supposedly there are more restrictions on "your" CDI box and exhaust.

Also, American bikes can switch from Kilometers to miles, but Euro bikes only have kilos.

if u don't know what to do in Switzerland - send me a message...I'm near Zuerich

concerning the differences between the Euro and US r6 (some copy paste from another thread):

For '03/'04 models:

- Running lights in headlight assembly
- Smaller blinkers
- 'Immobilizer' system OE (they key to start the bike is coded.. electronicaly... you can copy the key but if it does not contain the same code the bike wont start.. also we have a red flashing light on console(next to rpm indicator) that goes flashing for 24 hours then stops until a key is inserted again)
- Cool key
- Flash to pass feature
- Hazard lights
- Parking lights
- We have different ignition coils, as far as I know there are no problems with them here in Europe
- Different performance?! (US says: 92RON, for Euro bikes: 95 RON is standard)

Cool copy and paste.

Wish we had the flash to pass lights. Love them. Have them on my car and I piss off everyone here on the freeways.

Trying to set dates towards the end of the month. Party in Milan. Check out venice. Backtrack to Milano again. Switzerland is next. Then off to Germany for the show and check out the 05's. Then off to Paris.

Should I send out pictures now to see if I can find the prettiest switzerland women? Or do you have them all living with you?
