We are only human. Please be careful riding out on the street or track.
I just experienced the worst way to end a trackday. There was a fatality today at the PRO6 trackday at Mosport. First and foremost, my condolences go out to his family and may God bless them all.
I did not see what happened. It happened in the group I was not riding in. The rider, whom I never met before, apparently was trying to pass my buddy in turn-2, by going on the outside. From what my friend told me, he ran wide, got on to the grass and the bike and him flipped several times. From there he laid motionless. Paramedics tried to revive him by performing CPR. Unfortunately he did not come through. This happened around 2:00pm. The cops where there to do the investigation. Medical helicopter flew in, although I never saw it land. And a Global News chopper was also hovering above. The track had an eerie silence as everyone packed up. It was the worst way to end any trackday.
Be careful out there guys. This was a real eye opener for me today.

I wouldn't joke about anything like that. And I told you all I know.
Too bad you didn't buy that CD. Now you got no evidence!!!

ya it was pretty bad....if ya guys are out there please try to ride at your own pace and don't get excited for anything or anybody....everybody were pretty bumped out....never seen Sandy so sad like that before....
It's lots of fun at Mosport but it's very serious track,..once something goes wrong your reaction time is very limited...specially at corners 2, 4 and 8.
we had lots of fun right before the crash, I love Pro 6 track days, everything was runnig perfect just before this incidents...may God bless his soul...thinking about your husband or your dad is not coming home is unimaginable,..I wish God help his family and give them patience to overcome this tragedy,...
have fun, ride safe and take care

Oh man, that's terrible. I'm very sorry to hear about this. When your out there all you think about is how much fun your having, but your right Mikey, Mosport is very serious and it's fast, you can get into ALLOT of trouble if your in over your head.
This is definately an eye opener for me.
If anyone from the board knows him, my condolences to his family.

this is why I really shy away from that track, it is a do not pass go do not collect 200$ track. I have ridden many many laps there and recently I just dont go there because its just too darn fast. Please people, do not let this incedent happen in vain, please learn from others mistakes. It is extremly terrible to have that happen to anyone just trying to have some fun, all the best to his friends and family, it is a very hard time for them and if anyone here knows him or his family condolences go out to you. Personally for me the first few years were ok, doing 150s or so but once I was in the small 130s then its time to say ok, its not a race, Remember Track days are not race days, leave that to the racers.
