A trip to Deal's Gap in Spring : Yamaha R6 Forum: R6MessageNet : YZF-R6 Forums

Hey guys,

Is everyone enjoyin their Canadian winter? When spring comes, i'd like to organize a trip to Deal's Gap with you guys. This is just an idea i'm throwing out here so let me know what you guys think.

It would be around mid-end of May, the weather will be really nice over there and we'll just avoid the huge mess of family vacations. We can make it a couple of days trip. I have a trailer that can fit 2 bikes but i'm hoping that some of you might also have trailers. I've never gone before but i've heard amazing things about the tail of the dragon.

If you're not an amazing rider and think you'll be left behind...don't worry about it! I'm not great either! Anyways, it'd be nice to meet up with you guys and make the trip. So again, this is just an idea i'm throwing out there, let me know what you guys think

I was there in early June last year and there were almost no cops, so I hope it will be the same for you this year.

I go every year for May 24 weekend. I usually make it a week long trip...

I went last year, and will be going back this year with some local CT guys. We're heading down for April 19-26th, so if anyone is there around that time, drop me a line.

Anyone planning on going, avoid weekends, The Gap itself is devoid of cops during the week, and the locals are pretty cool about warning you about speed traps.
