Default Got hit today...barely

Well it happened today, some toothless meth-head hit me this morning, it was minor only because I saw him coming at me from my right hand mirror, he was lighting the glass pipe I guess, Just as I started to move out of the impact area he hit me on the left side of the bike, scratched the rear tail, my left side slider and the passenger window hit my elbow also popped out the upper piece of the windscreen (I never lost control of the bike or laid it down). All minor and things I can fix in less than an hour, the typical story "dude can we like do this with out the police/insurance" I said sure lets go to the ATM and give me $500 and were good, didn't happen so I got his info and left, called the police when I got to work, turns out his license is suspended, and the insurance was canceled after the first payment, rendering him a card that looks like it is good. The cops said nothing they can do since they didn't see it happen and it was such a minor accident that it didn't require any police at the scene as it was less than $100.00 in damage. So now I can either use my insurance or try and poach $$$ from this POS, which I intend to do. The guy lives with his mother has no job and is about 30+ years old, I know I don't have any real damage or injury I don't want to use my insurance either, a friend of mine happens to be a sherrif in the same area and said he will look for the guys car and when he sees it on the road it will be impounded at the very least. Guess that’s the best I can hope for?

Infantry, it sucks when shit like that happens. At least he pulled over and you managed to get his details. And you have a mate on the force who can give him a hard time for you. I'd keep hasselling him, and maybe even speak to his folks so they can put the hard word on him too. I'm sure they'd be impressed to know he was driving whilst suspended.
