Fellow Rider Down
My buddy Josh who taught me how to ride and introduced me to this board was out in SoCal riding his 650 dirt bike around the country as he had planned to take about a year off and just go riding to see the world.
He stopped to go offroad and jump some sand dunes in what he said was a popular spot. He jumped a sand dune only to find nothing but a 20ish foot drop on the other side. He landed the bike on both wheels and rode it out for about 30 feet before falling off. The impact broke severed his spine at the T-11 vertabre which is right under chest level.
Right now he is in surgery, they are fusing his vertabre and putting a medal rod in to connect the next 2 vertabre up and down(so the rod will connect 5 vertabre altogether) I've been told that he won't be walking again, ever.
Wish him well.
