there are two kinds of riders:
those who have dropped/dinged/crashed it..
and those who will
i was hit by a car but that didn't stop me from riding. it takes practice, as does everything else
edit: what caused you to drop it?

It happens...
Don't give up...
We all learn and build on our mistakes...
Pick her back up and take your time...
Best of luck...

I have zero confiidence and am scared shitless of it. My friend came over with his 05 Daytona and he gave me a riders ed of sorts. First he made me get used to holding her up. Then finding the kickstand w out looking. Then like 20 mins of walking her around. Then we started them and I worked on slowly letting the clutch out until she started rolling, still tippy toe walking her, brake to a stop, repeat. Finally I could balance w my feet up and clutch all the way out, but no gas so chuggin along. Did like 2 laps around my complex just using the clutch for momentum. After that I'd use a tad gas and just cruised straights at like 10 mphs. Well, I came to dead end and tried doing a rolling turn around. Bars went full lock and I braked to a stop. Felt her pullin over in full lock and I couldn't fight it. Basically I super lightly set her down. Like using your knees to slowly set down a 300 lb box. The second time I was tippy toeing a turn while breaking, again full lock and I had to set her again. Braking makes me panic and my feet instantly look for the ground.

Question dude, did you take the MSF class? If not, I highly recommend it.

The second time I was alone. I don't know how I picked it up but I did. It was insane. I don't see myself leaving my apt complex for a year. I saved everything I made for 2 years for this and now it's like fuck... Maybe I've just always loved the idea. She's in my garage on her first day and I should be down there with her just staring at her like a kid at christmas. Everytime I see her now I see failure and perhaps one day reallly hurting myself... this sucks.

Dude it's been years and aside from that and a few times after. I'm back at day one. Her rear is also lowered 3 inches. I wonder if that's fucking me up too.

Years? Hmmm...I wonder if I'd be at the same predicament but I doubt it. I guess you just need to put in some more time before you get your confidence back. And 3 inches? Wow, that's quite a drop.
