Default Poor Guy

Sorry if this is a repost. I wonder what his last thoughts were.

White, 26, of Broken Arrow, OK.

The Tulsa collision happened about 1 a.m. Tuesday, Officer Jason Willingham said.

Police said witnesses reported that White's motorcycle appeared to be going at least 120 mph when it crashed into the truck on U.S. 169 south of 81st Street

Police said the truck driver reported hearing a bump and then seeing debris from the motorcycle going past him. When he managed to pull over, he saw that a man was embedded in the back of his trailer, police said.

White was dead at the scene.

I'm one of those who's been oblivious to all the previous posts, but I just followed a link to the news story as originally reported in the Tusla paper and the blog that followed, and saw that the families of this guy and his friend who died days later in basically the same accident were hoping for legislation that would prevent this sort of thing. And then the sister and friends of the first victim posted some pretty irate comments about how disgusted they were that anyone would question the validity of such laws and how disrespectful it is to the dead and grieving to even suggest that the riders might have had some responsibility for what happened to them. Really, what laws would prevent someone riding 120 at night from dying when they ran into the back of a semi? One local indicated that he hit the truck when trying to cross several lanes to make an off-ramp and just miscalculated or ran out of room. Anyway, just had to share because it really looks like the responsibility for the accident lay with the rider. We all just need to be a little safer out there.

In Fairfax County Virginia Some cops carry around cameras to take pics of the things that they see while reporting to an accedent or other incedents. They call it their brag Book. There are some Sick pup traffic pigs in VA.
