Default Vacationing in AU / NZ (SCUBA)

Hey guys hope you don't mind a Yank butting in

Just wanted to get any info you guys might have for some decent hotels and scuba in your areas.

While this is for our honeymoon we are NOT looking to spend money on the typical Uber-Resort-Spa blah blah blah. We just want a nice quiet hotel, on the breach, that either has their own decent scuba operation or a good operation near bye (I hate long shuttle rides to the dive boat but 15 minutes is fine). We figure rather than spend money to have marble bathrooms we'll rarely use we'd rather spend a few extra days, see a few extra places, and make a few extra dives.

Just wondering if anyone already knows something that fits that bill??

Thanks and Cheers Mate

have you heard of the great barrier reef...... largest natural reef... it can be seen from space....

since you want to save money...there is a p[lace on the Queensland coast in Aus called Arlie Beach..... it is on the main land and is only short boat trips out to many reefs and islands....

Oh now come on man .. you know I've hard of it. what scuba diver ... what PERSON hasn't ?

Seriously though thanks for the info, any and all helps. There is just not a huge amount of info on trip on the internet that I can find. Not like the amount I find for trips to Hawaii and Mexico (when searching for scuba info).
