this guys bike apparently the forces were so strong, since he was already at redline when he accidentally downshifted that it went right past the rev limiter to the end of the tach reading and shut off. he just started it back up and it was fine.
but if you are just accelerating to the redline then yes there is a limiter that it will bounce off of. really the only way to go past it is if you do what my friend did above.
