Thanks for the posts guys.

Natedogg, I have always wondered about that, if the bike would even let you downshift if it knew you were gonna be over redline... apparently so. Pretty cool though that it shut itself off instead of blowing the engine (hopefully it started back again).

Only other question I have is:
Is there an actual rev limiter, not a redline, but a limiter. What I mean by this is if I had not shifted up right away, would it have just sat at a certain rpm bouncing due to the limiter, or would it have let me go on up until eventually the bike shut off?

Oh and natedogg, don't worry, I'm not a f@g who sits at the light and constantly revs it to its max. I'm not sure if people like that truly think its cool.
