Question Yoyodyne slipper clutches????????

Does anyone know the difference in clutch models for the separated years?

Yoyodyne has 99-05 and 06-08 models, however they do not differentiate between 06-08 R6 and 06+ "S" models. 99-05 and 06+ S models should be the same but they don't explain the difference.

So, does anyone know the actual difference for year model separation and/or what would happen if you used a different year in an older bike?

The reason I ask, is I am trying to save some money, a new slipper is $850, and a member on this board has a couple used ones for sale considerably cheaper, but for 06-08 models, and I would like to change my 01 clutch.

Please help clarify any way you can, as Yoyodyne does not want to answer this question in any way that will help me, just in a way that puts them out of liability range.
