you can test the starter relay by jumping the terminals coming off them (the two nuts) if the starter goes then and not with your key or the start button then your relay is bad.. just get a voltage reader.. check voltage out of stator.. shoudl be high, like 30-50v. then check voltage out of regulator, should be ~15 with bike revved above 5k, below should be 12-13. check and make sure your friend routed your cables right and connected them to the carbs right. dont charge your bike with anything more than like 10 amps.. a running car is like 50amps for comparison
