Default which is sprocket is better for wheelie, -1 front or +3 rear?

i know a -1 front sprocket is equivalent to +3 rear but which is more preferred for wheelies? i have an r6 06 and i already did a -1 front but i'm still having a hard time doing a wheelie at 2nd gear.. i can wheelie easily in my stock gears at 1st gear and when i did a -1 i got a lot of 12 o'clocks but i cant pump her up at 2nd gear(i can but only for a foot high, i cant reach the balance point at 2nd gear). any suggestion guys?
