I know common sense would answer many questions .. forgive me for the ignorance but i don't have much knowledge on washers or bolts.. My understanding was as long as the washers are intacked in one piece then itcan be reused but turns out we need to replace it.

About changing the bolts.. i got this off from the How To section pertaining to "oil change?"...

"It is not a bad idea to keep track of the common fasteners and parts that may need replaced later on and order spares to have on hand.
...BE SURE YOU HAVE REPLACED THE DRAIN BOLT !!!"

I've known of instances whenbolts were over torqued(tightened more than what they are supposed to) and eventually in due time it broke because of shear fracture over the period of time..
