Question European Lefthand Switch on American 2004 R6

I own a 2004 R6 and I just bought the European left hand switch which has the hazard button and flash to pass trigger. From what I understand, the European model is the only model to come with these 2 features.

I thought it would be a good idea to put it on my bike to have the extra features and also so that I would have easy access to a trigger mod which is hooked up to my garage door opener and a hazard button which will be wired up to some other mod (LED's, radar jammer, tail light cutoff, etc).

It is also my understanding that the hazard switch will work just buy plugging in the harness but the flash to pass will not. I've only seen one other post where somebody claimed you had to splice a wire in order to make it work; however, the person never left the instructions behind and only stated that he could give the instructions if somebody wanted to know!! I've tried to contact him and I haven't received any response thusfar.

If anybody knows anybody who has installed a European lefthand switch on their bike or has done this themselves, please share with everybody how to get the flash-to-pass trigger to work. What has to be done or which wires need to be spliced in order to make this feature work?

I would greatly appreciate any advice on this before I try start hacking up the wires with what I think needs to be done.
