Here's the problem with Joe Rocket. You never know what kind of quality you are gonna get out of the gear you buy from them. I have owned some of the gloves and the Pheonix jacket. Obviously, the jacket fell apart in my crash and burned into my skin. The gloves I have owned from them all had the stitching fall apart from normal use.
On the track, I have seen guys using JR leathers and when they crash seems burst.
On the flip side, people have crashed in their stuff and been fine. As I said, their QA blows. I just wouldn't risk my health on a product I can't be certain will protect me in the event of a crash.
