I called Yamaha service today to check on the R1's 07 fly by the throttle problem that has me so worried about getting one and Yamaha said its a easy fix. Yamaha will replace the computer for free and that fixs the problem, I was thing of getting a 08 R1 that has this problem all ready fixed, but the 08's are a lot more money. I can get a left over Brand New for around $9,000 R1 07,only the paint has changed on the 08's and the computer has the throttle fixed all ready. The r1 07 would be a great SS touring bike that does 70mph at a low of 5,000 rpm. It has a rev limited that hits at a very high 14,500-750rpm over its red line on the tach. Things I like is new brakes, Frame,engine, Looks, new found torque that the 06 r1 does not have,comes with great tires too,revavled forks,h-L adj back shock-still junk though
