kissing the mirror(with or without mirrors on) got me good body positioning, and made everything seem slower because you're looking so far ahead that you have time to setup before you get to whichever particular part of the corner is coming up.

weighting the outside peg/driving my knee into the tank helped out my body position even more, and gave me so much more control mid corner because my arms are nice and loose on the bars now, whereas before I'd be flexing my inside arm just to hold myself on the bike at full lean.
