Dude, do yourself a favor and DO NOT pick anything flight-line related, back-shop aircraft jobs arnt too bad but you need to understand that the Air Force needs to train pilots, so they fly the CRAP out of the jets and they break all the freaking time its rediculous, most of the people that work on the line are miserable so therefore they will try to make your life miserable, most of them seem to become alcoholics and nicotine junkies!
Pick a nice desk job, 9 to 5 with a break for food and plenty of time off to do school, because if you work on airplanes, you wont get any of that.

I'm Aircrafte Metals Tech. Being a backshop job and easily the best backshop job I have it easy liking my maintenance job. Knowing how to weld, machine and CNC machining comes in handy being a motorcycle guy.
But, yes I will agree flightline jobs are far from the way to go when picking a job.
