You're rite, it is shakey. The camera's stability software only copes when I'm taking it easy. I'm going to put rubber washers on the mouning bolt and see if it helps. If not I'll get a spring.

Why would metal be better? 2mm mild steel will bounce like a springboard.

I got a cool Idea: I'm going to mount a gyroscope with a ball joint. Drive it with a small electric motor and mount the camera on top. Should put an interesting perspectinve on cornering. The only issue I have is the ball joint has to be high above the tank or the flywheel will foul on the deep corners. Dunno where I'm going to be if I've got a flywheel rotating 20cm above my tank.
