Default 2006 R6 How to remove EXUP plate

Hey everyone...first time posting in a how to but just thought I'd pitch in.

This is a step by step on how to remove the EXUP butterfly plate from the 2006 R6. Some of the pictures are out of order though as I took them while reassembly. Please keep that in mind!!

Time: About 20 minutes

Tools needed:

4mm hex
5mm hex
6mm hex
8mm wrench/socket
10mm wrench
12mm socket
phillips screwdriver
dremel or similar with a metal grinding bit

1) Remove mid fairing from right side of bike and unbolt rear brake resevoir
-3 small 4mm bolts
-1 large 4mm bolt near rear set
-4mm bolt holding resevoir to subframe

2) Remove EXUP Cover
-two 4mm bolts
-one 5mm bolt

3) Remove EXUP cable
-loosen 10mm nuts on each cable, then pull over bracket and slip end out of valve
-picture of exhaust already removed...though this hasn't happened until the next step

4) Remove Exhaust
-one 5mm bolt on exhaust clamp
-one 12mm bolt holding exahust to rearset
-note the tabs on the clamp and the exhaust noting which direction the clamp should go

5) Remove EXUP valve
-10mm nut holding spring assembly together(don't worry, the spring won't pop out at you too hard)
-use dremel to grind off the welds to the two phillips screws
-unscrew two screws and remove EXUP valve
-reinstall spring assembly with 10mm nut

6) Remove Right Rear Set
-unbolt two 6mm bolts mounting rear set to frame
-just leave it dangling there, this step is just to make it easier to move remove the cables later on

7) Remove EXUP motor to remove cables
-remove 2 8mm bolts fore of the rear shock holding the motor on
-slide motor out through hole where rear brake resevoir was
-disconnect harness to motor
-unwrap rubber cover on motor
-remove cables by pulling the sheaths in the direction the harness plug is at, they'll just pop off and then you can remove the cable ends

8) Reinstall EXUP motor(optional whether you have something to make sure the check enging light off doesn't go off)
-2 8mm bolts to subframe
-harness plug

9) Reinstall everything in reverse order

Good luck!!

P.S. Please let me know if there is anything I should clarify!
